What is the Prostate?
The prostate is part of the male
reproductive system. It is a
walnut-sized gland that is located just below the bladder, at the base of
the penis. The prostate surrounds
the urethra – the tube that carries urine from the bladder our through the
penis. Its main function is to
produce the fluid that carries sperm when a man ejaculates.
